The application of tubular separators in the separation of coconut oil

One: Use a tubular separator to separate coconut oil

The mixed original slurry containing three phases of oil (coconut oil), water and solid (sediment and fine suspended matter in the feed liquid) is introduced into the GF105-J separation type tubular separator for separation.

The liquid coming out of the heavy liquid outlet is water, while the liquid coming out of the light liquid outlet is a mixture of oil and water (when the proportion of oil in the mixture is relatively small, generally not exceeding 1%), and there are also some solid impurities deposited on the inner wall of the tube.

The liquid coming out of the light liquid outlet can be collected and accumulated to a certain amount (such as over 300 liters). Then, this collected liquid is re-introduced into the tubular separator, and the liquid coming out of the light liquid outlet becomes pure oil. At this point, the material liquid, due to high-speed centrifugation, has a large amount of foam in the liquid coming out of the light liquid outlet. After the foam disappears, clear and transparent coconut oil can be seen.

Another situation is that if the volume of coconut oil in the original slurry accounts for more than 5% of the mixed liquid volume, then the coconut oil coming out of the light liquid outlet will only be clear coconut oil. Note: The feeding methods of the tubular separator are divided into two types:

1: Feed by taking advantage of the liquid level difference, that is, the feed port should be higher than the liquid outlet of the tubular separator.

2: Utilize pressure feeding, such as in conjunction with centrifugal pumps, peristaltic pumps or other types of pumps.

The pipeline at the feed inlet should be equipped with a valve to control the flow rate.
